Subject: PpP Additional Funding Reaches $21,000
The Prometheus pilot Project (PpP) funding total is now $121,000. All of
the additional money is collectable as soon as needed or before the end of 1997.
$20,000 has come from PP pledgers, $1,000 is new money, not part of a PP pledge.
After accepting this new funding offer from a confidential source, I realized
that this, in effect, violates my previous PP policy of having a minimum
contribution size of $10,000 spread over ten years or $8,000 up-front. I will
therefore make this policy change explicit. For the purposes of PpP funding
only, any size of contribution (still a multiple of $100 though), as either an
investment or donation, will be welcome. Also, I wish to make it clear (as in
Andre's funding offer below) that money to be contributed to the PpP need only
be done before the end of 1997. (Obviously, I state this only for those who need
it. If everyone decided to withhold their funds until December 31, 1997, we
might not be able to start the PpP as early as we now hope to.)
