Subject: cryonet magasine survey update

   Magasine database for cryonet subscribers:

  Respondants: 6

  Analog: 1
  Canadian Cryonics News: 1
  Cryonics: 2
  Discover: 4
  Economist: 1
  Health & Healing: 1
  Heavy Metal: 1
  Immortalist: 3
  Life Extension: 2
  Mother Earth News: 1
  Money: 1
  National Geographic: 2
  Newsweek: 2
  New Yorker: 1
  Nutrition News: 1
  Periastron: 1
  Science News: 1
  Scientific American: 3
  Smart Drug News: 1

Although this database is as yet too small to suggest the best
advertising medium for cryonics companies, it is interesting that science
and health oriented magasines are over represented. After deleting the
high circulation magasines, as well as the cryonics magasines, Life
Extension leads the pack with 2 votes. Of the high circulation magasines
Discover leads with 4 votes, followed by Scientific American with 3.
Since the funds applied to ads would effectively be buying the number of
votes for whatever the ads cost, the cost of the ads themselves becomes a
prime consideration as a tie breaker. I will make inquiries about the
cost of placing ads in Life Extension, Discover & Scientific American to
see which offers the best value for money.
Question: Does anyone know of any advertising medium that is either
 free or close to it?

    **Your help is requested!**

In order that a statistically significant result be obtained, more
than 6 respondants are needed. Email a list of your favourite magasines
to and help contribute to this survey!
