Subject: Visser news

For a relatively recent update on the Vissers' activities see THE
IMMORTALIST, Sep./Oct. Articles in South African newspapers (Pretoria News,
Citizen, Star) about a month ago indicated a favorable trend for Virodene.

Pretoria News, Oct. 30: "AIDS drug Virodene gets a new lease of life." A
toxicologist recommended by the Medicine Controls Council itself (a main
antagonist of the Vissers and their associates) gave the green light, saying
that toxicity levels were acceptable and that the Visser team could proceed,
subject to normal monitoring precautions. There was a similar article in the
Star.

Other articles indicated that the allies of the Vissers and their associates,
including the minister of health and the government generally, are gaining
the upper hand over the Vissers' critics.
