Sorry, but I see the discussion of probability as yet another distraction 
from the work that needs to be done.

Since sociopolitical factors (which Bob agrees that he cannot evaluate)
may be at least as important as science as determinants of our future
survival, I see little point in assessing the science-related factors, or
arguing about their accuracy. 

As Saul Kent has said often, it doesn't matter whether cryonics has a 
bad chance or a good chance of working, as it is practiced today. Our 
first priority should be to _increase_ that chance.
