Subject: Agenda Announcement for High-Roller Conference
From: (Edgar W Swank)

Dear fellow Life Extensionists,

As you may know, the 4th Annual High Rollers' Conference on
Cryonics and Low-temperature Medicine will be held at Don
Laughlin's Riverside Resort and Casino, Laughlin, Nevada, from
May 8-10, 1998. On Friday, May 8th, we'll have a happy hour
get-together at Don's Hideaway Lounge from 5:00-7:00 P.M.

Saturday morning we open the presentations with a talk by Dr.
Ralph Merkle about nanotechnology and its application to
cryonics. This will begin at 10:00 A.M. At 11:00 A.M. Dr. Hal
Sternberg of Biotime, Inc., will begin a discussion of research
into a low-temperature blood substitute and its utilization in
modern surgery. At noon Saturday we'll take our lunch break and
reconvene at 2:00 P.M. when Dr. Paul Segall, also of Biotime,
will expand upon the topic developed by Dr. Sternberg. Starting
at 3:00 P.M. we'll be treated to a talk by Paul Wakfer on the
Prometheus Project, an ambitious program to achieve reversible
suspended animation in human beings within 10-20 years.

Sunday morning we'll meet again at 10:00 A.M. to hear Dr.
Gregory Fahy on the cyropreservation of complex structures. At
11:00 A.M. Fred and Linda Chamberlain of the Alcor Life
Extension Foundation relate the latest developments in the
rendering of emergency services to those facing cryonic
suspension.

There is no charge for the conference itself. Rooms for
conference attendees are $25 Friday, $25 Saturday, and $15 Sunday
night.
