Subject: Cryonics growth

I have been following the discussions on cryonics growth with interest,
having recently spent four years of my life trying to make Alcor grow.
Many interesting points have been made; most of them correct -- at least
from one perspective or another. And that is the point, really. There
are plenty of perspectives -- and plenty of work opportunities -- to go
around.

There is no point in the researchers doing promotion, or the fund raisers
being on the suspension team, or the editors doing research. We can all
find what we are interested in and best at, then work on it. At the same
time, we must all take deep breaths and continue to cooperate when when we
find that the fund raiser, or the researcher, or the writer, or the
suspension team leader isn't perfect. Even if one perfect person existed,
there is not enough time for him or her to do everything.

So some people will push the research, and others will push raising money,
and others will promote cryonics, etc. We are a group with strong
individual egos; but we must allow each other to do some of the work. ALL
of the work is important; it all goes hand in hand to achieve success.
