Subject: Hippocampal project

Paul Wakfer has distributed improved copies of the project of The Institute
for Neural Cryobiology (Directors Thomas Donaldson, Ph.D.; Peter Gouras, M.D.;
and Paul Wakfer.) Looks good.

Paul and Greg Fahy seem to feel that the project will be approved by the
University research institute involved, and Paul seems to feel the funding
still needed (about $45,000 more, I believe) will be obtained, but I am not
sure how definite this prospect is. With the usual irony, too much confidence
on the part of prospective donors may cause them to dawdle or forget it, and
the fund raising may fail. On the other hand, too little confidence may create
the impression of a lost cause, again contributing to failure.

I will shortly be asking the directors of the Immortalist Society and the
Cryonics Institute to make a decision on contributing to the project. They
will doubtless want to know what happens in case we contribute but the funding
is not achieved, or the project is finally not approved. Can we be assured of
a full refund in such case?
