X-Message-Number: 9433 Subject: University fly labs (response to CyroNet #9427) Date: Thu, 09 Apr 1998 11:24:50 -0500 From: Will Dye <> Thanks again, Doug Skrecky <> for taking your time to do some Real World Research (TM) and post the results on CryoNet. One item stood out for me: > Also note: (to my knowledge) > Every major university in North America has a fly lab. > None are currently doing fly longevity experiments. This really surprised me. I thought surely there would be more interest in longevity than that. Perhaps it's worth a few phone calls and/or e-mails to try to track down some grad students who are looking for a project to do? It would be a Good Thing to get a second set of eyes on the topic... --Will William L. Dye Accountability, thy name is "low-cost digital storage".
