We are too small a group to dwell on our differences; concentrate instead on our shared goals and interests. I heard something interesting on the radio the other day. I can't quote it exactly, but in effect it said: when you perceive someone as attacking you, try reframing the situation: perhaps the attacker is fearful, and all involved would be better served by your understanding or your compassion than by your counterattack. Note: thinking about "fearful of what?" can be an exercise for the student of psychology or human relations, but judging the rationality of the fear, fixing the person with the perceived problem, etc. are not your job. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help build and nurture this nascent community of persons to whom it is important to see the coming centuries. Peace and productivity to all, Kennita -- Kennita Watson http://members.home.net/kwatson1/ Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=9478
