Subject: Term bettern than Whole life insurance?
References: <>

I came across this. Can someone verify it?

"Life Insurance....a license to steal....someone in my family says that.
Nevermind, we all do need to try to make a future, because no one else
will. Life Insurance companies have some funny legal boundaries, and I
will try to explain, and I don't know much. It kind of fits in with
banks collapsing/mergers/takeovers...the general financial picture. A
whole life policy is not under the same laws that protect your assests,
the way that a term life policy is. In other words, if a company goes
belly up or changes drastically in some way, your policy is gone.
Believe it or not, this is not the case with term life insurance. It
sounds backwards.... to me."
