Subject: Michael Paulle

I have difficulty expressing in words the deep feelings of anger and dismay
within me resulting from the actions of Mr. Paulle and the grave damage this
man has done to Alcor and thus to me and my friends. The first such story
was from Dave Pizer, who told me that Mr. Paulle harangued by telephone a
major potential donor to the fund for the proposed new building in Phoenix,
causing the donor to withdraw his support. If this is true, Mr. Paulle directly
cost Alcor hundreds of thousands of dollars and a great opportunity for growth.
Now I read that Mr. Paulle has risked the life of one of our patients by
violating the privacy of the patient, his family, Alcor and the hospital caring
for the patient by telling national news media about the patient's wish to be
suspended. Mike Darwin suggests that we limit futher damage of this sort by
cutting all contact with Paulle. Much as I am loathe to suggest more legal
action on the part of Alcor, I suggest we consider getting a court order
keeping Paulle from having anything to do with us. Even if not more effective
in keeping him from injuring us further, it would enhance our reputation as an
organization not to be trifled with. I (and I am sure many other Alcor
activists) would like to know more fully the story of Paulle's invlovement with
Alcor, so that we can avoid future such disasters. To that end, I am asking
that those who know the details of the above stories post their versions of
what happened on this net. I think, to keep us from repeating this unfortunate
bit of history, that an accounting is in order.
				Sincerely, Mark A. Voelker
