Re Darwin's post yesterday:

1. All the main room dividers at the CI facility now have a double thickness
of fireproof material, thanks to Dave Fulcher.

2. Mike says I have excommunicated him from cryonics, because he doesn't share
my "degree of optimism about the success of contemporary cryopreservation
procedures."  

Now, now: His recent posts did not speak of degrees of optimism, but of total
rejection, as in "I have lost the faith." and  "Cryonics is just piling up
corpses." We are not looking at excommunication, but at self-proclaimed
apostasy.

I can't provide him with a letter of certification for the Grand Inquisitors
at the Society for Cryobiology, because he might change his mind again. But
the GI might accept his sworn and notarized statement. Worth a try. After all,
it would be quite a plum for them, to be able to say, "See, even some of the
most rabid cryonicists are now seeing the light and admitting there is nothing
scientific about cryonics."
