X-Message-Number: 9734 From: Ettinger <> Date: Mon, 18 May 1998 11:40:22 EDT Subject: Art Quaife On the occasion of his retirement from the presidency and the Board of Trans Time, congratulations to Art Quaife on his achievements and contributions over the years, and best wishes for good health and satisfaction in years to come. I remember speaking to him when he was a student at Wayne State U. in Detroit in the sixties. I wasn't able to offer him much except encouragement, but he was a self-starter and didn't even need my encouragement. I know very little about the disputes between TT and ACS. In my experience, ACS and Jim Yount have been honest and reliable without exception. CI has agreements with both ACS and TT, whereby a CI member may choose storage with CI after suspension by ACS or TT. I do have one specific serious question concerning TT policy, which I will communicate privately. In a separate post I will offer some comments on the cryonics-for-profit question.
